The FASTTAC SyncSet™ contains all of the project drawings and documents that make up the contract set of project documents that have traditionally been maintained by the construction superintendent. The SyncSet database is centrally located on secure servers and periodically synchronized to the user's equipment via the internet. The initial synchronization process distributes the entire SyncSet to the user's computer. Subsequent synchronizations keep the user's machine up-to-date with the centralized SyncSet and upload information from the user's computer to the centralized server for distribution to other team members. By distributing the SyncSet to each user's computer, all project team members always have access to a complete and up-to-date set of project documents whether connected to the internet or not. This distributed information model coupled with the automated organization and management of the SyncSet on the user's computer provides each user fast and easy access to a complete and up-to-date set of contract documents.
The SyncSet keeps the information organized for each user and ensures that the latest version of all drawings is always displayed first. Unlike a simple web based file repository or FTP site, the SyncSet automatically maintains all of the information relating the documents in a construction documentation set, it understands the relationships between floors, and that multiple trade drawings exist for the same floor space. In addition, the SyncSet captures all markups and annotations made by anyone during the project.
Please see below for a walkthrough of how the SyncSet functions on a typical project.
Overview
At the beginning of a project, the Project Manager is responsible for determining which documents will be available to FASTTAC users and sends them to the FASTTAC Project Administrator to be loaded into the SyncSet.

Construction
During construction, the SyncSet is used to ensure everyone is working from the latest drawings, markups and RFIs. Document updates, markups and as-builts captured as they occur anywhere in the system become available to everyone at the same time.
