Document Services

FASTTAC Document Services include preparing, organizing, indexing and loading the drawings and documents that comprise the “contract set” of project documents into the FASTTAC system. The process begins with FASTTAC assigning a project administrator to work with the customer to identify all of the drawings and documents in the contract set e.g. design drawings, specifications, shop drawings, drawing updates, sketches, RFI solutions, etc.  As the project progresses, revisions to the original set of drawings along with sketches, RFI solutions, shop drawings, equipment cuts, meeting minutes and ASI’s are also loaded into the FASTTAC system.  FASTTAC refers to the combination of all the drawings and documents entered into the FASTTAC system as the project SyncSet.

At the conclusion of the project, customers have the option of obtaining a close out CD that includes all of the information entered into and collected by the FASTTAC system during the life of the project.  Alternatively, the facility Operations and Maintenance personnel can continue to use the FASTTAC system throughout the life of the facility.  In either case, an audit trail of all of the changes made to the contract set throughout the construction phase is included in the SyncSet database and available to the Owner and key project stakeholders.  This historical record that shows what was done, by whom and when can be an invaluable asset to help resolve warranty claims and other disputes.

FASTTAC partners with local reprographers to deliver the FASTTAC Document Services in conjunction with traditional reprographic services.  By working together, FASTTAC and the reprographer are able help project teams and implement a Digital Document Distribution and Just-In-time-Printing (JiP) strategy that can dramatically reduce project printing and distribution costs, and the overall project carbon footprint.
